Fretboard ?Pick a Root and a Type (Chord or Scale), then a Name, to light up the neck. Sound chooses the instrument voice (Acoustic, Electric, or Bass). Labels switches dots between note names and intervals.

Shapes ?Scale shows the five box shapes of the selected scale or mode (pentatonic, blues, modes, harmonic/melodic minor) in every octave that fits. Each box is colored like the CAGED chord shape it surrounds (the letter). CAGED shows the chord shapes for the Root. Turn on as many as you like. The Note Names / Fingers switch shows either labels or the fretting fingers on the shape notes (1 = index … 4 = pinky, O = open, – = usually left out of that chord shape; a note shared by two scale boxes shows both, e.g. 4/1). Tap a box to hear it.

Triads ?Pick string sets to see every triad of the chord on those strings, labelled Root, 1st or 2nd (which chord tone is in the bass). The inversion switch shows only one kind. Tap a label on the neck to hear that triad and choose it for Send to Player (it gets a check mark).

Position

Metronome ?Sets the tempo for everything. BPM is the speed and Time is the bar length — its top number is also how many beats each chord lasts in the Player. Sound plays a click or a looping drum groove.

Looper ?Record what you play on the fretboard, give it a name, and save it. Saved loops appear below — press play to loop one, press it again to stop. edit opens it in the Player's Tab.

Player ?Everything you send from the Fretboard tab or add below goes into one list and plays top to bottom, once or on a loop. Tap an item's name to hear just that item; ▲ ▼ reorder and ✕ removes. Chords play as a Strum (for the beats shown) or an Arp (one note at a time, up and back down). Strum pattern: D=down U=up X=mute -=rest. Add: chords by name (Am F C G, shapes with @ like F@E or G@t2, (arp) for an arpeggio), tab (h p / \ ~ b techniques) or a generated melody. Tempo and beats per bar come from the Metronome.
